Tights revolution...

... Hello long lost friends! It's been a while...
Anyways, I love tights. I prefer dresses over pants. So in the fall/winter, I wear dresses with tights, tights, and more tights! In my office, I've started a bit of a revolution.

Example A:
A co-worker (who is very cute, but tends to wear boxy suits) came up to me in a cute shift dress and patterned tights. I was blown away by how cute she looked, and then she said, "I was channeling Katie while I got dressed this morning." Made my day!

Example B:
The receptionist next door told me 3 days in a row that she needed to start wearing cute skirts and dresses with tights like I do. Today, I walked by her office and she had on the cutest outfit with tights! I was so proud and, of course, complimented her!

Example C:
Another co-worker came up to me and told me Marshall's had all of their tights on sale. She was going on her lunch break to buy some!

I may not have much influence over my co-workers professionlly, but I'll glady take the role of fashionista in the office!!

If you're looking for some top-notch tights, check out We Love Colors... endless possibilities!

Fortune cookies...

… are super-duper fun. I was cleaning out my wallet and found these stuck in various places. I always keep good/funny ones to re-read later on. And you know that you’re supposed to eat the cookie before you read the fortune, right??

I especially like the last one and I’m sure my love and family do too!! And check out the awesome grammar in the first one!

Do you hang on to your fortunes, too?

IDK...

… my BFF Jill?

So at work, the office next door is Children’s Advocacy. They focus on prevention and awareness of Child Safety. They do great work. Yesterday, one of the advocates stopped by my cube to give me one of their pamphlets. The title is, “A Parent’s Introduction to TEXT MESSAGING LINGO.” So, I’m sitting at my desk reading all of the acronyms silently chuckling to myself. Looking at this list, some of them don’t even look like a teenager would say them. Like a parent or the writers of this pamphlet made them up. Let me know what you think:

TPTB = The powers that be
A3 = Anytime, anywhere, anyplace
WH5 = Who, what, when, where, why
IRL = In real life
IMO = In my opinion
AFAIK = As far as I know
FWIW = For what it’s worth
SLAP = Sounds like a plan

Also, they left some off the list like OMG, IDK, TMTH, JIC and others of the more expletive nature (now that’s what the parents really need to be looking out for – expletives, not “FWIW….”).

Anyways, I thought this was hilarious – anymore important ones you can think of that were left off the list?

Happy halloween...

"You are a magnet, I am steel..."

He likes to stay up late just because he can. I love sleep. He loves anything scary. Anything scary makes me have a panic attack. He loves classic rock. I love pop music. He'd rather play video games all night. I'd rather watch TV all night. He eats to live. I live to eat. He hates flying. I seriously considered becoming a flight attendant. He loves to play his guitar. I don't like calluses on my fingers. He hates to step one foot in the kitchen. I love to cook.

At the beginning of our relationship, we thought we might be too different to last. But we later realized we couldn't imagine life without each other.
Opposites attract, right?

Geeez...

... its been a week since I posted! This past week has been super crazy... its my office's largest event of the year this week. I've been running around like crazy, working overtime, and have barely spent a second at my desk. And sadly, my love has left me for the weekend for a 'guys trip' to Orlando - boo! So there... that's why I've been absent. I hate it though, because I feel too disconnected from you all. I've found myself just skimming your posts and I apologize - I will fully recover next week and comment!
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is - thanks for hanging around!
